Qu’est ce que la fibromyalgie ?

La Fibromyalgie est une pathologie répandue aux Etats Unis – cause d’invalidité de près d’un américain sur 10 – et encore méconnue en France, alors que près de 2 millions de personnes en sont atteintes.Cette maladie psychosomatique déclenche d’intenses et récurrentes douleurs en 18 points du corps et touche, dans 90% des cas, les femmes. Elle trouve son origine dans un traumatisme enfoui. La Fibromyalgie est indétectable, son diagnostic ne peut-être posée qu’après l’élimination de l’ensemble des maladies rhumatologique. De ce fait, les personnes qui en sont atteintes traversent une période d’errance médicale de plusieurs années avant de pouvoir, enfin, mettre un nom sur leurs douleurs.
